2017 Christmas in Melbourne

I headed down the hume to Melbourne for the Christmas break, parking the car at the airport of all places! The cost of parking there in the long term parking was cost effective and safe, as I wouldnt need the car while in Melbourne. From the airport its a quick bus ride to the city, and then a short walk to mny hotel at Batman Hill.

Melbourne weather was once again amazing for me - really dont know what people complain about!! But taking it easy on Christmas eve in preparation for more activity tomorrow - I was also recovering from a hamstring strain so unfortunately, no running for me.

Christmas day was a day for a beautiful breakfast, calling my family, and then walking around the city. Later in the day I found a movie theatre open in South Yara where I went and watched the latest Star Wars movie - no reviews from me, go see it yourself!

And then from boxing day, the cricket started! I didnt have a ticket for the first day, but day 2, 3, and 4 were my days! I had never been to the MCG before, so I was so impressed by the size, and the 60,000+ people there on day 2 watching the aussies take on the english again. I did spend some time in the sun, having the cheap seats, so plenty of sunscreen, a big hat and long sleeve shirt kept me protected - and very limited alcohol intake!

I loved the cricket though, was an amaing experience, and wandering around the city and wider areas were just what Christmas should be for me!
